Procurement and Implementation of a new Transport Management System, Telematics, In Cab Tech and POD system.
Due to continued growth, Explore Transport had outgrown their initial transport management systems they had originally implemented as part of their business start-up project.
Perfficiency conducted an exercise to fully understand the limitations they were facing along with working with Explore to understand the vision of where the company wanted to be in the next 10 years’ time. We established that they needed a state of the art system to help meet their ambitions. We established that they needed a total rethink on all transport related systems they had in place and needed a robust system which would seamlessly interlink between each of different elements of the core TMS, Tracking advanced analytics and POD processing systems.
We went to the market and met with several potential partners where they presented their solution to our problems, then through official tender we procured the most suitable cost effective options available.
Following the success of the procurement process along with our understanding of the project, Perfficiency were then employed to carry out all of the implementation exercises relating to the project until a successful transition.
Perfficiency are still employed with Explore on multiple projects including the continuous development of the Transport Management System.
